The 2019 Mission Trip team will be wrapping presents in front of Sears at the Grand Teton Mall on Dec. 14th & 15th from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Dec. 16th from 1:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. and Dec. 17th- 20th from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. This is to help raise funds for future mission trips. UR: Wanted, Loved, His! We will be holding a workshop for all those interested in our new UR Wednesday night worship services starting in January. The workshop will be this Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 P.M. in our fellowship hall and remember UR Wanted, Loved, His! Come see what we are all about!
Rally Day here at First Evangelical Lutheran Church September 9th Christian Education hour for adults, begins at 9:00 am, and for youth at 11:45 am. Worship Service begins at 10:15 am. Hope to see you there!
The youth at FELC are running a firework stand this year to fund their Mission Trips. Please come show your support with any firework needs you may have. They are open from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. June 28th to July 2nd and open from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. July 3rd and 4th. They are located in the Smith's Foods parking lot next to Wealth of Health and in front of Planet Fitness. We hope to see everyone there. Be sure to tell your friends too!
Women helping Women Please join us Wednesday May 2nd, 6:00 pm at the Sandpiper for a Women helping Women dinner. Our honoree is Jennifer Hansen, former member of FELC who is battling stage 4 lung cancer. For more information and to RSVP contact Kären Bateman [email protected] From Jennifer: Last September, 2016 I found out my breast cancer came back. Only this time it was metastatic stage 4 in my lung. So for now all that can be done is chemotherapy treatments. And those treatments are very expensive even with health insurance my out of pocket costs are quite overwhelming. And if that wasn't enough for my family to worry about we found out more discouraging news. My husband is going to need open heart surgery in the very near future. He is only 46 years old. We just are asking for a little help to get us through these very stressful and difficult times so we can focus on getting better for our children. We want to be here for them and watch them grow up. Recent up-date: Well I have made it through 2 radiation treatments so far and 8 to go. The side effects might not show up too much until after the treatments are done. Kyle's heart surgery was moved to April 25th because the surgeon was going to be gone so that will actually be better and hopefully I will feel good by then as well! I am still struggling with emotions and other things but I have talked to some nurses and doctors at the Teton Cancer Institute and they have given me some more hope! Thanks so much for all of your love and prayers! They mean everything to me and my family!
Luther Heights Bible Camp Annual,Yard Sale WE NEED YOUR UNWANTED STUFF!! Donations can be dropped off from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday April 30th thru Friday May 4th Please volunteer whatever time you can muster. Contact Geri Magnuson at 1-208-315-3520 with any questions. We will also need help setting up Tables following worship on April 29th and during the Sale on Saturday May 5th We are still looking for a new coordinator to take over this ministry event! Please prayerfully consider taking on this important ministry that helps send our youth to camp. There are always many helpers.

Every three months a group of women get together to honor someone who is fighting cancer. Each person is asked to bring a friend (more than one is great) to have dinner and catch up on what is happening in each other’s lives. Each person is asked to donate $10.00 (more is always appreciated), and the money is presented to the person we are honoring. Your dinner is extra. The evening is intended as a relaxing and fun evening with friends but also to help women dealing with the emotional and financial hardship of cancer. We hope you will join our group. Wednesday February 28th, Sandpiper Restaurant, 6:00 pm Honoring Phyllis Aycock Please RSVP by Feb 26th, [email protected] Phyllis has stage 2 breast cancer, discovered just as school started this fall. She is a wife, mother of two children and a secondary English teacher at American Heritage Charter School. Within just a couple of weeks of the diagnosis she had a double mastectomy and is now doing chemotherapy treatments. Because of poor blood tests she has not been allowed to return to the classroom until this past month. She is now on a lighter chemo but the side affects are still making it hard to teach full time. We would love to have you join us!
